“Dance Theater Workshop’s (DTW) Board engaged David to help us better understand and come to a consensus on how to deal with significant “recession-related” challenges facing our cultural facility in Chelsea. His work on finances and governance with our many stakeholders – including key donors and performing artists – paved the way for DTW’s merger with the Bill T. Jones/Arne Zane Dance Company. Now in its 8th year, the entity known as New York Live Arts is thriving. David’s engagement came at a critical pass for DTW when the Board was faced with unsavory choices. Instead, in a merger transaction quite rare in the nonprofit arts, we took a different road based on the study David conducted and the resulting advice he provided. Simply put, David played a key role in preserving one of the most influential contemporary performing arts centers in the U.S. and abroad.”
